OHS Net is an initiative of Labor Council of NSW - OH&S and Workers
Compensation Unit. OHS Net is supported by WorkCover NSW.
The Labor Council of NSW is the peak body of trade unions in NSW and represents
over 500, 000 employees via their affiliated trade unions. WorkCover is the
State regulator responsible for ensuring compliance with laws relating to
workers compensation and occupational health and safety.
OHS Net has been established so that unions, union members, employers and the
general public may have access to an online resource, which promotes safe work
practices and standards. In addition, you may search this site to find a wide
range of 'hard' information on all aspects of workers compensation,
rehabilitation and occupational health and safety standards and polices in
NSW.
This site has two additional areas: Training Services, which specialises in
providing training to workplace occupational health and safety committee
members; and, Youthsafe, a committee set up by the Labor Council to advise on
matters relating to young people and occupational health and safety.
We hope that this site will broaden the knowledge base and enable a more robust
debate of issues and polices relating the OH&S and workers compensation in
NSW, as well as contributing to the adoption of safer work practices generally.
