* The removal of legislation allowing the Government to privatise the scheme.

* The maintenance of an injured worker's right to sue an employer who has an unsafe workplace is maintained.

* Increase in fines for employers who fail to provide a safe workplace.

* The guarantee that any new medical guidelines do not reduce workers' benefits or access to those benefits.

* The introduction of a penalty for industrial manslaughter.

* An increase in fines for insurers to $55,000, for not paying claims.

* An increase in fines for employers who do not pay the correct workers' comp premium.
