Labor Council to set up Workers Comp Watchdog

The Labor Council is establishing a peak monitoring committee to oversee the impact of the Government's changes on injured workers. This committee will commence monitoring the new Workers' Compensation Legislation on its commencement, 1st January 2002.

The committee will report on every case where a worker has been disadvantaged under the Government's changes to the Workers' Compensation Legislation.
